about

A classic tale of love gone wrong. I moved to Los Angeles from Melbourne, Australia, back in 2005 to follow my heart when a rekindled love interest from 15 years prior turned up on the scene and reignited the spark. However, after arriving in LA, I found myself embroiled in their web of lies and deception. I came back to Australia a few months later, heart-broken, wishing they’d never said the things to me that made me open my heart back up to them.

lyrics

Trouble on my mind, trouble in my head
A bottle of gin by my side
Wishing it was you instead
And these thoughts keeps going round inside my head
They were better left unsaid

Lost myself in you, now my world keeps spinning round
When I look up to the sky, all the stars they’re upside
And your words keep going round inside my head
Yeah, they were better left unsaid

I wish you’d never said those things to me, put those notions in my head, Made me open up my heart to you
Yeah, they were better unsaid
‘Cause now you’re not here in my bed
Telling me it’s me and not her instead
Telling me it’s me and not her instead
Telling me it’s me and not her…..instead

I wish you’d never said those things to me, put those notions in my head
Made my me open up my heart to you
Yeah, they were better left unsaid
‘Cause now you’re not here in my bed
Telling me it’s me and not her instead
Telling me it’s me and not her instead
Telling me it’s me and not her instead
Telling me it’s me and not her….instead

The Stetson Family walk the line between alt-country and bluegrass with their free-wheeling, spirited songs, awash with soaring harmonies. Described as "champions of fresh bluegrass but with a bedraggled soul of rock and roots," the band takes their audience on a journey down life's crooked highway.

"They blend like one of the legendary bluegrass or country families…” American Songwriter
